This policy explains what information LinkedIn Post Previewer ("we", "us") handles when you use linkedinpostviewer.com (the "site"), why, and the choices you have.
1. What stays on your device
Most of the site runs entirely in your web browser. The following is never uploaded to our servers:
- Your draft and preview settings. The post text, profile name, headline, profile photo, mentions and engagement numbers are saved in your browser's local storage so your work is still there next time. You can delete them at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser settings.
- Images and PDFs. Files you add to the preview are read and displayed by your browser only. They are not uploaded.
- Theme preference. Your light or dark mode choice is saved in local storage.
- PNG downloads. Preview images are created in your browser and saved straight to your device.
2. Share links
When you create a share link, your post text, profile name, headline, mentions and engagement numbers are compressed into the part of the link after the "#". Browsers do not send that part of a link to our servers. Images and profile photos are not included. Anyone you give the link to can see its contents, so only share it with people you trust.
3. AI assist
AI features are optional and only run when you click an AI button. When you do, the post text (or the topic you typed) is sent to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to produce a suggestion. The suggestion is sent back to your browser.
- We do not store your text or the AI's response, and we do not use them to train any model.
- Anthropic processes the request as our service provider under its own commercial terms and privacy policy, available at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
- To prevent abuse, our server briefly keeps a count of AI requests per IP address in memory. These counts expire after about a minute and are not written to disk.
Please do not put confidential or sensitive personal information into AI requests.
4. Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like most hosts, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the site, keep it secure and protect it from attacks. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies for this purpose. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share your personal information. Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading the site does not send requests to third-party font services.
6. When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and to fix issues you report, and we delete correspondence when it is no longer needed.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can use the whole site without giving us any personal information.
- You can delete everything stored locally by clearing this site's data in your browser.
- Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we hold almost none, most requests can be handled by email: hello@linkedinpostviewer.com.
8. Children
The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
